Saying good-bye to dear friends from "Da Bronx"

We have been blessed to be able to attend several different wards to say a final good bye to many of our brothers and sisters we have worked with and love. Barbara Kaufman. We first met Barbara thru the phone trying to set up times to help her move. After about 5 attempts with no success, we finally met her at stake conference. She has since become a good friend and is a wonderful member missionary. She calls and checks up on us often and reports what she has been doing. Love you, will miss you Barbara.
The Boselettes. A great family that has struggled with in-activity. Kathy was baptized in April. An awesome event. The boys are now becoming active in the young mens program. They went to the BYU football camp in June. Loved Utah, want to move there.

Mary was baptized when we were in the Bronx last year. She is here in the states working and saving movey to bring her children over here. I think they are in Jamaika.

Beverly Rucker was baptized just before we arrived on our mission. We home taught her. She just recently went thru difficulties when her vocal cords were damaged when she was intubated because of a severe case of pneumonia. She now has a Trach and is hopeful after surgery they will start working so she can talk. We love you Beverly.

Sister Openheimer is the best. We worked with her in the manhattan temple for the first year of our mission. We enjoyed a wonderful evening with her at Carnegie Hall. We will miss you, love you!

The group of us going home during the month of August.

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon last Wednessday at the temple with some awesome missionaries who are at the end of a chapter in their book of life, much like us. Time here in New York is coming to an end. We went next door to the chapel on the 3rd floor of the temple building and enjoyed a beautiful testimony meeting with these few. It is wonderful to see the growth and hear of their love for the Lord and the work they have been about. We love them. They are the best part of our mission. We have thoroughly enjoyed rubbing shoulders with these chosen embassadors of the Lord.
