All Moved in - Yahoo!

Happy Happy Anniversary to our no. 3 child, Dusty & Cari. Love love love you, hope you had a great day yesterday!!!!

We have moved for the last time while on our mission. This is the 4th place we have lived while serving here in NYC. This one was a little more difficult as we moved into a place that was totally furnished and also came from a place that was totally furnished. So we kept the best of the furnishing and got rid of the rest. Getting rid of the rest meant transporting it down to the city to missionary apartments that were in need. that was a night mare as it took 3 hours to get to china town to deliver a loveseat to the sisters on Orchard street. The best part about that, is that I wasn't with Doug, he took some elders with him. I was in the office working. So I didn't have to endure the awful traffic.

When moving in the city, one must double park in the middle of the road. One must also stay with the vehicle so that you can move it quickly if a cop comes by. Double parking is not acceptable and you will get a ticket. Depends on the mood of the officer. My job of course was to stay with the vehicle. Thanks heavens for the mission 12 passenger van. We took the three passenger seats out and walla----you have a moving vehicle. The down side, is that you have to make several trips.

We are now settled into the apartment in Yonkers, which is closer to the mission office as we are there at least three days a week. I am eternally grateful for a quieter neighborhood, indoor parking, more space to move around in, and not so grateful for the entire pink bathroom. Pink sink, tub, toilet, tile, walls and floor.
