Mitzi & Jay met us in Escalante for a fun filled camping week end. We rode our 4-wheelers 50 miles to "Hole in the Rock" where the early saints blasted a path thru the mountain as they followed a prophet and answered a call to settle the San Jaun area. On the road to the designated spot we enjoyed a few of the sites along the way. "Devils Garden", "Dance Hall rock", "peek-a-boo" and "Spooky" canyons, "Chimney Rock".
I truly could not imagine how they traversed the path they had made. It was very humbling and inspiring. We enjoyed the time spent with Jay & Mitzi. We both need that time together more often. The other fun places we visited were awesome and a ton of fun. We loved the Spooky and Peed-a-boo canyons.
